We are seeking a detail-oriented, skilled Inspector to join our rapidly growing company. As an Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products consistently meet customer specifications.

Position Responsibilities

• Help to ensure all processes and activities within our AS9100 Certified Quality Management System are fully implemented throughout the Company
• Personally perform 1st Article, 1st Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection activities
• Coach, teach and help train Machine Operators in measurement and inspection techniques and methods
• Assist Manufacturing managers by ensuring that regular in-process inspections by our Machine Operators are being performed
• Identify and document instances of nonconformance to the QMS and notify Manufacturing or other process owners when these are found.
• Assist in conducting Quality Audits
• Contribute to the Company’s continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help to ensure new fixtures and special tooling are inspected and that necessary gauges and instruments are available when needed
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures
• Help to ensure that inspection gauges and instruments are properly controlled, maintained and calibrated and are certified on a timely basis.
• Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers and SSI’s purchase order requirements and specifications

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in Quality and/or Inspection roles where precision machined parts and components are manufactured
• At least 3 years experience in a Quality role within an ISO Certified Quality Management System (AS9100 QMS is preferred)
• Experience in programming and/or operating a CMM is a strong plus, but is not required
• Demonstrated skill in reading and understanding complex prints and drawings
• Demonstrated skill in using various measurement instruments and methods to inspect parts and perform bench or layout dimensional inspections
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Machine Operators, Manufacturing and Company management, Customers, and Suppliers
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Must enjoy working within a Team environment to accomplish challenging company goals and objectives

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
